Kerry Martin, MSN, RN, CNML brings 22 years of experience in the nursing industry, including 10 years in nursing leadership. Her career at a large academic medical center in the Midwest gives her deep insight into what makes healthcare teams thrive. Throughout her journey, she’s been dedicated to building strong, high-performing teams and developing talent to reach its full potential.

At Next Era Recruiting, Kerry brings that same commitment forward–partnering with both healthcare organizations and job seekers to ensure the right fit. For clients, she understands the unique demands of nursing leadership and the importance of finding professionals who not only meet today’s needs but also shape the future of care. Elizabeth Banzhaf has spent more than 40 years in healthcare, beginning her career as a CNA and becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1999. What followed was a career that grew from bedside nursing into leadership, operations, and eventually healthcare recruiting and staffing.

Much of Elizabeth’s early career was spent in long-term care, where she served in roles including Unit Manager, Staff Development Coordinator, and Director of Nursing. She later expanded into ambulatory care, spending several years as a Clinic Nurse Supervisor with Geisinger Careworks, helping oversee 22 urgent care clinics.

Her career has put her on nearly every side of healthcare staffing. She has been the CNA working the floor, the nurse caring for patients, the supervisor managing daily operations, the educator developing staff, and the nursing leader responsible for making sure there were qualified people there to provide care.

When Elizabeth transitioned into healthcare recruiting, it felt less like leaving nursing and more like putting everything she had learned to work in a different way. She understood the jobs she was recruiting for because she understood healthcare and the people who work in it.

Today, Elizabeth is Co-Founder of Heartline Staffing and works with healthcare organizations and professionals nationwide across physician, advanced practice, nursing, allied health, leadership, permanent, and contract staffing.

Elizabeth has never been interested in simply filling an opening. She wants to know the person behind the résumé and the organization behind the job description. She asks questions, follows through, and isn’t afraid to say when a match isn’t right.

After more than four decades in healthcare, Elizabeth still believes the people doing the work are what make healthcare work. Taking care of those people has simply become the next chapter of her career.
